What Happens at Your First Consultation?
Your consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch.
Dr Saskia will take the time to understand your situation, review your hospital reports and explain whether and how integrative cancer support could help you.
Here’s what to expect:
- You tell us about your situation. Where you are in your cancer journey, what treatment you’re having, how you’re feeling and what you’re hoping for. There are no wrong answers.
- Dr Saskia reviews your hospital reports. She’ll look at your diagnosis, biopsy results, treatment plan and any other medical documents you’ve brought. This is how she builds an accurate picture of your case.
- She explains your options. Based on your diagnosis and treatment, Dr Saskia will recommend which integrative therapies may be appropriate — and explain which ones are unlikely to benefit you.
- You decide what to do next. There is no obligation to proceed. If you do want to go ahead, we’ll design a personalised therapy plan and provide clear pricing before you commit to anything.
The consultation is free. It typically takes 30–45 minutes and can be done at our London clinic or remotely.
Preparing for Your Consultation
To get the most out of your consultation, it helps to bring the following:
Your hospital reports: Biopsy results, consultant letters, scan reports — anything that helps Dr Saskia understand your diagnosis and treatment.
Your medication list: A list of what you’re currently taking, including any supplements.
Your questions: Write down anything you want to ask. There are no silly questions — this is your time to understand your options.
If you don’t have your hospital reports to hand, that’s fine. We can help you request them from your NHS team.
Your consultation is led by Dr Saskia, a consultant in integrative oncology and one of three consultants at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. She understands cancer treatment and knows which complementary therapies are safe and appropriate alongside your hospital care.
Our clinic on Tower Bridge Road is easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance of London Bridge station. We’ve designed the space to feel calm and private — very different from a hospital environment.
We know that walking through the door for the first time can feel overwhelming. Our team is here to put you at ease from the moment you arrive. There is no rush and no pressure.
We offer consultations at times that work around your hospital appointments. Remote consultations are also available if travelling isn’t practical.
“The first consultation is about listening. I want to understand your diagnosis, your therapy, and how you’re feeling before I recommend anything. Every patient’s situation is different, and the plan we build together will reflect that.”
- Dr Saskia Kloppenburg Vieth, Consultant in Integrative Oncology

Frequently Asked Questions
Your consultation is a conversation with Dr Saskia about your diagnosis, your hospital treatment and how you’re feeling. She’ll review your medical reports and explain whether integrative cancer support could help in your situation. The consultation is free, takes around 30–45 minutes, and there is no obligation to proceed.
Yes, and we encourage it. We work alongside your NHS team, not behind their back. Open communication ensures your care is joined up and nothing we recommend interferes with your hospital treatment.
Absolutely — in fact, the sooner the better. If you’re already on chemotherapy, Dr Saskia can advise on which integrative therapies are safe alongside your current treatment and may help manage side effects.
Both can help. Before chemotherapy, we can focus on strengthening your body and immune system. During and after, we focus on managing side effects and supporting recovery. Contact us as early in your journey as possible.
Your consultation is with Dr Saskia, a consultant in integrative oncology and one of three consultants at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. Every treatment plan is designed by her and delivered by our specialist cancer care nursing team.
Yes, if you have them. Dr Saskia will want to see your biopsy results, consultant letters, scan reports and details of your current treatment. This allows her to build an accurate picture of your case and make safe, specific recommendations. If you don’t have your reports to hand, we can help you request them from your NHS team.
Not at all. Your first consultation is simply a conversation — there are no treatments, procedures or needles involved. It’s your chance to ask questions and understand your options in a calm, private setting.
Yes. If you can’t travel to our London clinic, we offer consultations by video or phone. Dr Saskia can review your hospital reports remotely and discuss your options just as effectively as in person. If therapy is recommended, our nursing team can deliver it at your home anywhere in the UK.
