How Integrative Oncology Works
Integrative oncology supports you at every stage of your cancer journey. Therapies are tailored to where you are — preparing your body before treatment, supporting you through it, or helping you recover afterwards.
Before Treatment
Preparing your body before chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery can change how you tolerate treatment and how quickly you recover. We focus on strengthening your immune system, building nutritional reserves and supporting cellular function. For surgical patients, our pre-operative IV programmes prepare your body in the weeks before your operation.
During Treatment
Chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy come with side effects: fatigue, nausea, immune suppression, neuropathy, low mood. Integrative therapies are designed to support your body through these — helping you tolerate treatment, maintain energy and feel more like yourself during a very difficult time.
After Treatment, or When Hospital Options Have Ended
Recovery is its own phase of care. Whether your treatment ended with a clear all-clear, stopped because it was no longer helping, or is no longer an option, you are not without support. Therapies focus on rebuilding, managing the long tail of side effects, and maintaining quality of life.
Every protocol is designed personally by Dr Saskia, who reviews your hospital reports, your treatment plan and how you are responding before recommending anything.
Our Integrative Oncology Therapies
Every protocol is built from a range of integrative therapies and tailored to your diagnosis, your treatment stage and your individual needs. We do not work from a standard menu.
- High-dose vitamin C IV therapy — supports immune function, reduces fatigue, helps with treatment tolerance
- Mistletoe IV therapy — widely used in European integrative oncology for immune support and quality of life during treatment
- Curcumin IV therapy — anti-inflammatory support delivered at therapeutic doses
- Helleborus IV therapy — emerging therapy for specific clinical situations
- Wormwood IV therapy — selective activity researched in cancer cell lines
- Pre and post-surgery IV programmes — strengthening before, recovery after
- Ozone therapy — oxygenation and immune support (London clinic only)
All IV therapies are available at our London clinic or at your home anywhere in the UK through our specialist cancer nursing team.
“Every cancer patient is at a different stage of their journey — preparing for treatment, in the middle of it, or working out what comes next. Integrative oncology is about meeting you where you are. The therapies we choose, the protocol we design, the support we provide — all of it is shaped around your specific situation, your diagnosis and your hospital treatment.”

After one cycle of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, Fiona decided the side effects were too much.

Why Wellbeing Medical Group
Choosing where to seek integrative cancer support is a serious decision. Here is what makes Wellbeing Medical Group different.
Designed by a Consultant
Every protocol is designed personally by Dr Saskia Kloppenburg Vieth, a GMC-registered consultant in integrative oncology and one of three consultants at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. She does not delegate clinical design.
Working Alongside Your NHS Team
We work with your hospital team, never instead of them. With your permission, we share your protocol and updates with your NHS or private oncologist. Open communication ensures your care is joined up and nothing we recommend interferes with your hospital treatment.
CQC Regulated
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, which means we meet the same clinical governance and safety standards as NHS services. For a private integrative clinic, this is a level of regulation most competitors do not have.
Specialist Cancer Nursing Across the UK
Our nursing team specialises in cancer care and delivers IV infusion therapies at our London clinic and at patients’ homes anywhere in the UK. The same protocols and clinical oversight apply wherever you are.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, when properly supervised. Every protocol is designed by Dr Saskia, who reviews your hospital treatment plan and ensures every complementary therapy is appropriate alongside your specific chemotherapy drugs. We do not offer therapies that interfere with your conventional cancer treatment.
Yes, and we encourage it. We work alongside your hospital team, not behind their back. With your permission, we share your protocol and any relevant updates with your NHS or private consultant. Open communication ensures your care is joined up.
Absolutely. Many of our patients come to us once they have started chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy and are looking for support with side effects. Dr Saskia can review your current treatment and recommend therapies that are safe alongside what you are already receiving.
Both can help. Starting before chemotherapy lets us focus on strengthening your body and immune system in preparation. Starting during treatment focuses on managing side effects and supporting recovery. Contact us as early in your journey as possible — even a short window before treatment starts can be useful.
We support adult cancer patients across a wide range of diagnoses. Some therapies are particularly suited to specific cancer types — for example, ozone therapy via rectal or vaginal routes is used for bladder and ovarian cancers. The Medical Advisory Team will explain what is appropriate for your specific situation.
You are not without support. Whether your treatment ended with a clear all-clear, stopped because it was no longer helping, or is no longer an option — we can still help. The focus shifts to recovery, quality of life and ongoing wellbeing.
Yes. All our IV infusion therapies are available at home anywhere in the UK through our specialist cancer nursing team. Ozone therapy is the only exception — it requires equipment that is only available at our London clinic.
Pricing depends on the therapies prescribed and the frequency of sessions. Your free consultation with our Medical Advisory Team includes a full explanation of costs with no obligation to proceed.
We only offer therapies that are supported by published research. Where the evidence is strong, we say so. Where it is still developing, we are clear about that too. You will always understand the basis for what we recommend.
