Real experiences from people going through cancer care with our support
Every patient’s situation is different. The stories below are from people who have been through integrative cancer care at Wellbeing Medical Group, in their own words and with their permission. They describe what brought them to us, what their care looked like and how they felt during the process.
These stories are shared to help you understand what to expect — not as guarantees of outcome. Every cancer diagnosis is unique, and results vary from patient to patient.
Fiona
Diagnosis: Adenocarcinoma non-small cell lung cancer
After one cycle of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, Fiona decided the side effects were too much to continue. She came to us looking for a way to support her body without the impact of further hospital treatment.
Dr Saskia reviewed her biopsy results and designed an integrative therapy plan around her specific diagnosis. Throughout her time with us, Fiona continued to see her oncologist for regular scans, who monitored her progress closely.
Fiona was able to maintain her quality of life and disease stability — which was exactly what she had hoped for.
Fiona’s therapy plan: Wormwood, curcumin, high dose vitamin C and ozone IV infusion therapy.
Graeme
Diagnosis: Adenocarcinoma Oesophagus
Graeme contacted us before he’d even had his final diagnosis confirmed. He wanted to be prepared — to have a plan that worked alongside whatever his NHS team recommended.
Dr Saskia built an integrative care plan around his surgery and hospital pathway, focused on supporting his overall wellbeing, managing side effects and complementing his NHS care.
Graeme’s therapy plan: Ozone IV infusion therapy with curcumin, vitamin C and wormwood IV infusions.
Isis
Diagnosis: Hodgkin Lymphoma
Isis was facing six months of chemotherapy for an aggressive diagnosis. She came to us wanting to reduce side effects and give the chemotherapy the best possible chance of working.
Given the nature of her diagnosis, Dr Saskia recommended an intensive integrative protocol alongside her hospital care. Isis committed fully and also spent time researching the evidence base behind her therapies.
Isis’s therapy plan: Ozone, DMSA, curcumin, high dose vitamin C and wormwood IV infusion therapy.
Kim
Diagnosis: Pancreatic Cancer
Kim came to us before starting her chemotherapy. She wanted to complement her hospital care with integrative therapies from the very beginning.
Her chemotherapy regimen involved a combination of three drugs delivered via a slow-release pump over 48 hours. Dr Saskia designed an integrative plan to run alongside this, focused on supporting Kim’s body and managing the demands of an intensive chemotherapy schedule.
Kim went on to receive positive results from her oncologist. She credits her commitment to both her NHS care and her integrative support as part of her approach.
Kim’s therapy plan: Detoxification, body strengthening, mistletoe and high dose vitamin C IV infusion therapy.
John
Diagnosis: Colon Adenocarcinoma
John came to us with stage 4 colon adenocarcinoma that had spread to his liver and peritoneum. He had already been through chemotherapy and liver ablation, and was now receiving the Folfox regimen with Avastin at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
He wanted to add mistletoe therapy alongside his ongoing chemotherapy, with the aim of supporting his immune system and complementing his hospital care.
John’s therapy plan: Mistletoe IV infusion therapy with mistletoe subcutaneous injections.
